Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath launched the Mukhyamantri Matikala Rojgar Yojana to give his state’s potters jobs. Through the Mukhymantri Matikala Rojgar Yojana, the state’s chief minister attempts to revive the clay-made goods industry due to the potter caste’s seeming disappearance from the state at large. The Kumhar caste members could expand their businesses, create new industries, and get interest-free loans from the state government under this scheme.
In Uttar Pradesh, the potter caste is the target of the Mukhyamantri Matikala Rozgar Yojana. The state will promote clay products through this program. For this reason, common potters would be eligible for a loan of up to Rs 5 lakh to expand their businesses or create new jobs. Aside from this, potters with at least an eighth-grade education, training, and traditional clay craft skills would be eligible for loans totalling more than Rs 5 lakh and less than Rs 10 lakh. The government would make this loan available to the bank beneficiaries.
The primary goals are to increase the state’s use of clay products and provide jobless potters with new job possibilities. The potters will have improved access to loans for the expansion of their businesses. Encouraging products created in the state will be accomplished through this strategy, which will also aid the state’s Potter caste. The Matikala Rojgar Yojana, which Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched, is a very laudable project because it will encourage the state’s inhabitants to use and be drawn to clay products rather than plastic ones.
– Under this scheme, the bank will approve loans up to Rs 5 lakh for all state-interested potters, and up to Rs 10 lakh for candidates who have passed the eighth grade, have traditional knowledge and have been trained in Matikala to establish an industry. – According to regulations, the beneficiaries would get this loan from the banks interest-free for five years. – The state will utilize fewer plastic products after this program is put into place. Since clay objects will draw greater attention from people. – This plan will encourage the use of clay objects throughout the state, thus highlighting the ancient culture once more.
– The candidate must be a permanent resident of the state of Uttar Pradesh. – This initiative is only open to applicants who are Kumhar caste citizens. – The candidate must be eighteen years of age or older. – The recipient of a Rs. 10 lakh loan must be an eighth-grader with instruction in clay art and a working grasp of the medium. – The recipient of a loan up to Rs 5 lakh must be at least 18 years old and literate.
