Chief Minister Matikala Employment Scheme

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath launched the Mukhyamantri Matikala Rojgar Yojana to give his state’s potters jobs. Through the Mukhymantri Matikala Rojgar Yojana, the state’s chief minister attempts to revive the clay-made goods industry due to the potter caste’s seeming disappearance from the state at large. The Kumhar caste members could expand their businesses, create new industries, and get interest-free loans from the state government under this scheme.

CAbout the Matikala Employment Scheme

In Uttar Pradesh, the potter caste is the target of the Mukhyamantri Matikala Rozgar Yojana. The state will promote clay products through this program. For this reason, common potters would be eligible for a loan of up to Rs 5 lakh to expand their businesses or create new jobs. Aside from this, potters with at least an eighth-grade education, training, and traditional clay craft skills would be eligible for loans totalling more than Rs 5 lakh and less than Rs 10 lakh.  The government would make this loan available to the bank beneficiaries.

Purpose of the UP CM Matikala Rojgar Yojana

The primary goals are to increase the state’s use of clay products and provide jobless potters with new job possibilities. The potters will have improved access to loans for the expansion of their businesses. Encouraging products created in the state will be accomplished through this strategy, which will also aid the state’s Potter caste.
