The Jharkhand government has launched the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana to provide education to the state’s female population. Benefiting girls in the eighth and ninth grades will receive ₹ 2500 in financial aid under this initiative. Whereas, girls in the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grades will receive ₹ 5000. In addition, whenever the recipient girls become 18 years old, a lump sum grant of ₹20,000 will be awarded to them.
On the occasion of World Children’s Day, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has made a significant announcement. CM made the announcement on World Children’s Day following a meeting and conversation with UNICEF’s young journalists. It mentioned that this Yojana will empower state girls and maintain their academic connections. A growing number of girls are able to take advantage of this program. It will be beneficial to all the girls.
A large number of girls in the state wish to attend school but are prevented from doing so because their families cannot afford to send them to school. By offering financial aid in installments, this scheme aims to maintain females’ connection to education. It also enables them to complete their education from eighth to twelfth grade. It will lead to the state promoting education and preventing child marriage. As a result, girls will feel safer and more secure throughout the state.

– As of right now, teenage girls will receive the benefits of Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana rather than the Mukhyamantri Sukanya Yojana as they did in the past. – From class 8 to class 12, financial aid will be given through this program. – The beneficiary girl child will receive a lump sum award of ₹20,000 after turning 18 to help with her marriage or further education. – This plan will assist 37 lakh families in the state, including 27 lakh families covered by the SECC-2011 census and daughters of 10 lakh families possessing Antyodaya cards.
– The girl applying should be a Jharkhand native. – Only female children whose families are listed in the SECC-2011 census and who have an Antyodaya card are eligible for this program’s benefits. – The recipient girl will not receive a lump sum payment of ₹20,000 if she marries before turning 18 and will no longer be eligible to receive benefits from this program. – The candidate must own a bank account that is connected to their Aadhar card.
