West Bengal Aikyashree Scholarship Scheme

- The government started the Aikyashree Scholarship Programme for financially poor backgrounds and minority students (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Parsis and Jains) in West Bengal. Students from Class 1 to PhD level can apply for various West Bengal Government scholarship schemes through the WBMDFC Aikyashree Scholarship Portal.

Eligibility Criteria for Pre-matric Scholarship

– The student must be a permanent and legal resident of West Bengal State. – The student must be studying in class 9th or class 10th – The applicant must belong to SC or ST category – The annual family income of the applicant should be less than Rs. 2 lakh

Eligibility Criteria for Post-matric Scholarship

– The Student must be a permanent resident of West Bengal – The student must be a student studying in Class 11, 12, Graduation or Post Graduation. – They must belong to the SC, ST, or OBC category. – The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs. 2 Lakh for SC, Rs. 1 lakh for OBC, Rs. 2.5 Lakh for ST

Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship

– The applicant must be a permanent and legal resident of West Bengal State. – The applicant must have passed class 12th. – The student must belong to the SC, ST, or OBC category. – Only female students can apply for this scheme. – The applicant must be studying Engineering, Medicine or Basic Science at a known institution in West Bengal.

Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship

– The student must be a permanent resident of West Bengal – Must be a student studying in Class 11 or 12 or pursuing graduation in Engineering, Medical, and Technical/Professional courses. – Must have secured at least 75% marks in class 10th. – The annual family income of the applicant should be less than Rs. 2.5 lakh.

For Hindi Scholarship Scheme, West Bengal

– The student must be a permanent resident of West Bengal State. – Must have passed Madhyamik or Higher Secondary or UG or PG or any equivalent degree course. – The student must belong to a non-Hindi-speaking state. – Must have secured at least 60% marks.

Benefits of the Scholarship

– The scheme will provide educational loans to poor students. – The minority community women will be able to undertake benefit from this scheme and secure their life. – Due to this scholarship scheme, the literacy ratio of the West Bengal State will be increased.

Selection Procedure

– The concerned authority will consider the marks that they have got in the previous examination and their family income to select the candidate – If you are applying for a renewal scholarship then the student must obtain more than 50% off marks in their previous examination.
