Naval Dockyard Visakhapatnam Apprentice

Naval Dockyard Apprentice School, Visakhapatnam Division, accepts online applications from ITI-qualified Indian national candidates for the 2023-24 apprenticeship training batch. For candidates, apprenticeship training is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Candidates who have previously completed or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training in the same or a different industry/ establishment under the Apprenticeship Act of 1961 are ineligible.

Eligibility Criteria for Applying Naval Dockyard Apprentice

• Applicants must have been born on or before May 2, 2009.
• Candidate should have min. 50% marks in SSC / Matric / Std X
• Candidate must have min. 65% marks in ITI (NCVT/SCVT)
• Candidates who passed the Covid-19 pandemic with certificates lacking marks/grade points/pass percentage.
• Minimum Height – 137 cm. & Minimum Weight – 45 Kg
• Chest expansion not less than 5 cm.
• Eye sight 6/6 to 6/9 (6/9 corrected with glasses)

How to Apply for Naval Dockyard Apprentice?

• Visit the official website www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in and select the “Register” module.
• A drop-down menu with a variety of choices will appear, from where you have to select “Candidate.”
• The candidate Registration form will appear which the applicant needs to fill up with his personal information and contact information.
• Then, click the “Submit” button.
• You will receive a system-generated automated message for profile activation to the email ID after application submission.
• After that, go to the homepage, and click “Login.”
• Enter your registered Gmail ID and password to open and activate your profile.
• Candidates must enter or modify their personal information, educational information, trade preference, and Aadhar number validation after logging in.
• After completing the registration process, open the candidate profile, download it, and print it out before sending it to DAS (VZG).
• Look at the printout of the hall ticket format in Annexure – I of this advertisement.
• Two original hall tickets (filled out by the candidate) and two recent passport colour photographs pasted at the earmarked box must be enclosed with the Apprentice Profile.
• Both online (profile registration at a web portal) and offline (hard copy of the application by post) submissions are required before an applicant’s candidature is considered for further review and the issuance of a hall ticket for a written examination. Non-receipt of both (online/offline) applications automatically disqualifies the applicant’s candidacy.

Application Fee for Applying the Apprentice Recruitment

According o the officials, the application fee is nil for every candidate.

• General/OBC/EWS Candidates – No Fee
• SC/ST Candidates – No Fee

Selection Procedure of Naval Dockyard Apprentice

There are five procedures to select a candidate for Apprentice training.

• Written Exam
• Physical Test
• Trade Test (Merit List/Skill Test)
• Interview
• Document Verification

The call letters for the shortlisted candidates will be in the ratio of 70:30 ratio based on SSC/Matriculation/Class 10 exam and ITI marks. And, a merit list will be created. To maintain reservation quotas, call letters will be sent to shortlisted applicants in the ratio of 1:5 for written examinations against existing vacancies in each trade and category.

The written examination would be of the objective type, with 50 questions (Mathematics 20, General Science 20, General Knowledge 10), each carrying one and a half (1½) marks.

Interview and Medical Exam Dates

Salary Details

For first-year training, ITI pass candidates will be paid 7000/- per month, while fresher applicants will be paid 6000/-. Salary increases by 10% during the second year of training.
