Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan Yojana) is a central government scheme through which Rs 6,000 per year as minimum income support is provided to Small and Marginal Farmers. Irrespective of the size of their landholding in India, this 75,000-crore scheme aims to cover 125 million farmers. On December 1, 2018, PM Kisan Yojana came into effect and was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government.

What is all about PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana

Under this scheme, PM Kisan Yojana, annual income support of Rs 6000 is provided to all eligible farmer families across the country in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 each every 4 months. A family with a husband, wife, and minor children is a family defined by this scheme. The government will transfer Rs 2,000 directly to the bank accounts of the farmers/farmer’s family.

Eligibility criteria to apply for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana or PM Kisan:

A farmer must belong to SC/ST/OBC and have a caste certificate. In the Government’s data, a farmer or landowner’s name must be in.
A farmer must have basic documents like an Aadhaar Card, Bank Passbook, Mobile Number, etc.
A farmer must have Land record details.
It is mandatory to have documents like a Citizenship certificate, Landholding papers, an Aadhaar card and bank account details to avail of benefits from PM Kisan Yojana.

How to apply for the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana

To register for the PM Kisan Yojana or Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana follow the following step-by-step procedure carefully and you will be able to register or apply for the scheme.

First, you have to visit the official website: https://pmkisan.gov.in/

After visiting the official website on the homepage, you will find a tab of “New Farmer Registration”, tap on it.
And, another webpage will appear where you need to choose “farmer type”.
If you belong to a rural area, choose “Rural Farmer Registration” or choose the option of “Urban Farmer Registration” if you belong to an urban area.
Next, fill in the requested credentials and click on the option of “Send OTP“.

After receiving an OTP on the mobile number, fill in the OTP and proceed with the registration.
Fill in more details, fill in these credentials upload the required documents, and after that finalize the application.

Installment Process of Kisan Samman Nidhi

So far, the government has released 9th instalments under the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Also, the central government distributed the amount of the 10th instalment in the bank account of farmers on January 1, 2022.
As a gift for the new year, this amount was transferred to 10.09 crore farmers. We hope the rest of the farmers will get the amount of Kisan Samman Nidhi’s 10th instalment soon.
A total amount of Rs 20,946 crore was transferred to 10.09 crore farmers. The government for future investment from all these organizations grants a total of Rs 14 crore equity and 1.25 lakh farmers will get a benefit.
As we can see, the government has released 10th instalments under the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
The amount of the 11th instalment will be transferred to the account of the beneficiary farmers in the first week of April 2022.
All the beneficiary farmers keep checking their PM Kisan Status before the first week of April. It happens that the instalment amount of the farmers gets stuck.
The instalment amount gets stuck due to any discrepancy in the document like Aadhar number, account number, bank account number, etc. That’s why you have to check your status from time to time, and you will solve any problem before it occurs.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Instalments

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a tweet related to PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. Through this tweet, information related to various ongoing schemes for farmers has been provided. The amount of the 11th instalment has transferred to the account of the farmers.

If the eligible farmers have not yet register themselves under this scheme, they should get themselves register as soon as possible and get the benefit of the scheme. The government has transferred Rs 1.82 lakh crore to the accounts of 11.3 crore farmers.

During the coronavirus epidemic, 1.30 lakh crore rupees has transferred to the account of farmers under this scheme. This information was also provided by the Prime Minister through this tweet, a loan facility of one lakh crore rupees has been provided by the government for the development of agricultural infrastructure.

Apart from this, a loan of Rs.8585 crore has sanctioned for 11632 projects. The government has made the nation’s mandis digitally integrated. One million transactions have been made on the Inam platform by the 1.73 crore farmers who have registered.

Kisan Samman Nidhi e-KYC Process

The Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana gives farmers ₹ 6000 in annual financial assistance. Farmers who participate in this plan will receive ₹2000 deposited into their bank accounts every four months. To get the benefit of the Kisan Samman Nidhi List, it becomes mandatory for all the farmers to get KYC. This information has been provided through the PM Kisan Portal. Now, the farmers need to complete the e-KYC by 22 May 2022. This deadline was earlier 31 March 2022.

The instalment amount can become stuck if the farmers fail to complete eKYC. The government has also scheduled to release the sum for the eleventh instalment under this program shortly.
Farmers have to click on EKYC in Farmers Corner for Aadhaar-based OTP authentication. And individually they have to visit the nearest CSC centre for biometric authentication.

How to do e-KYC for PM Kisan Samman Nidhi

On the homepage of the official website, you will see the option “eKYC in the Farmer’s Corner (eKYC)”
Click on this option and a new web page will open.
Fill in the mandatory information, the number of the Aadhar card, and click on “Search”
And beneficiary data will open in front of you.
Now fill in all the requested information correctly and click on “Submit” to complete the KYC.
