Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana
On February 15, the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana went into effect. After reaching 60, beneficiaries will receive a monthly pension of Rs 3000 under this scheme. Beneficiaries applying under the PMSYM yojana must be between the ages of 18 and 40. This scheme is not available to government employees, Employees Provident Fund (EPF), National Pension Scheme (NPS), or Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) members.
The government has begun the Donate a Pension program under PM Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana. A citizen may contribute to the premium contribution of domestic workers, drivers, and support staff under this scheme. Every year, a minimum of 660 to 2000 rupees can be deposited, depending on the age. The scheme provides a monthly minimum pension of 3000 after reaching the age of 60.

The Objectives of the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana
The primary goal of the PMSYM Yojana is to provide financial assistance to unorganised sector workers over the age of 60. This scheme provides a pension of Rs. 3000 to be self-sufficient and empowered. The Indian government wishes to provide benefits and financial assistance to all poor and labourers through this scheme.
If a beneficiary dies while receiving a pension, 50% of the pension will be paid to the beneficiary’s spouse. Aside from that, if the beneficiary has made regular contributions and, before reaching the age of 60, the beneficiary becomes permanently disabled for any reason and is unable to continue his contribution, his husband or wife can benefit from the scheme by paying regularly.

- Drivers, rickshaw pullers, cobblers, tailors, labourers, domestic servants, brick kiln workers, and others will benefit from this scheme.
- After 60, eligible beneficiaries will be paid a monthly pension of Rs 3000 under this scheme.
- The government matches the amount you contribute to this Yojana.
- After your death, your wife will receive half of your one and a half thousand rupees pension for life.
- The government will transfer Rs 3000 directly from the beneficiaries’ savings bank accounts or Jan Dhan accounts via auto debit under this scheme.
How to Apply for the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana?
For applying offline, visit your nearest public service centre or digital service centre to apply for the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana. And, take your bank account passbook and Aadhaar card with you for registration.
If you want to self-enrolment at PMSYM Yojana online, follow the below-given steps.
- Go to the official website of the PMSYM Yojana.
- On the home page, click the link “Click Here To Apply Now.”
- On this page, you will see the “Self-Enrolment” option, select it.
- After that, you must enter your mobile phone number and click the “Proceed” button.
- A new page will open where you have to enter your name, email id and captcha code.
- Then, click on “Generate OTP” to get an OTP.
- Verify the OTP, and fill out the rest of the application.
- After that, upload the required documents in JPIG format.
- Check carefully, and submit the form.
- Save the form and take a printout for future reference.

- Go to the official website of the PMSYM Yojana.
- On the home page, click the link “Click Here To Apply Now.”
- Now, select the CSC VLE link.
- A new page will appear where you have to enter your Username and Password.
- And, click the “Sign in” button.
- Now, select “Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana” from the Schemes menu.
- The PMSYM application form will appear.
- Enter all of the required information including your name, email address, address, state name, and district name.
- Next, upload all of the necessary documents, and click the “Submit” button.
After applying for the PMSYM Scheme, the applicant needs to pay a monthly premium. Depending upon the age, the 18 years applicant has to pay Rs. 55 as a monthly premium, whereas, the ages 29 years to 40 years need to pay a monthly premium of Rs.200.

- The applicant must be an unorganised sector worker.
- Unorganized sector workers’ monthly income should not exceed Rs.15000.
- The applicant’s age should range between 18 and 40 years.
- The most important requirement is that you do not pay income or tax.
- The eligible individual must not be covered by EPFO, NPS, or ESIC.
- A mobile phone and an Aadhaar number are required for subscribers.
- The scheme also necessitates the opening of a savings bank account.
- Beneficiaries must have an Aadhaar card and a bank account that is linked to their Aadhaar card to participate in the scheme.

Facts of the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana
- The Life Insurance Corporation of India will serve as a nodal agency for the scheme’s successful implementation.
- The beneficiary will also deposit monthly premiums in the LIC office, and upon completion of the scheme, the beneficiary will receive a monthly pension from the LIC alone.
- This monthly pension will be deposited directly into the beneficiary’s bank account.
