Under West Bengal State Government, it’s the biggest news update that WBSSC updated their employment notification. Rumors have been circulating for some time that the School Service Commission (WBSSC) is going to introduce new recruitment rules and appoint a headmaster/headmistress.

But in the two notifications that came yesterday, the school service commission is going to appoint the headmaster as well as the state teacher. They said that this new appointment is going to happen very soon. 

As you are aware, there has been no new teacher recruitment test in the state for almost 7 long years. In the meantime, the notification (WBSSC 2nd SLST Notification Download) that has come out yesterday from the School Service Commission, there is a significant update. 

The notification states that (WBSSC 2nd SLST Notification Download), Secondary and higher Secondary level teachers will be appointed by the School Service Commission.

WBSSC will present all the information in that notification, how it be recruited? When the recruitment will start? How many slots will be open for recruitment for this? A notification has been issued today by the School Service Commission that all the information will be presented in the next notification. 

Two notifications have been issued yesterday, one discussing the school level (secondary higher secondary) teacher recruitment process and the other the head master recruitment process.

According to the press conference of the Minister of Education:

• The recruitment process will start before Pujo.
• Thinking of taking the exam on 31st December 2022. 
• About 650 vacancies have been created in the training.
• About 650 vacancies have been created in physical education.
• The process of appointing Head Master will start in June.
• Class 9-10,11-12, Group C, and D waiting candidates will be recruited by creating new seats. 
• Class 9,10,11,12, Gr C & D, work education, and physical education in total about 6861 new posts will be created !! The term of this panel will be extended till 31/12/2022.

There have been cases of recruitment of teachers and non-teaching staff in different cases. Group C, Group D, and Class 9 – 10 have been sued. A case has also been filed against Upper Primary. CBI has inquired. SSC has a lot of problems with this.

Eligibility Criteria for Appearing in the SLST Examination

• Educational qualification: Candidates must have obtains 50% marks (for UR category) in Graduation / Post Graduation and must have B.Ed degree. 5% marks relaxation for other categories. 

• Upper Primary: Graduation + 2 years D.EL.Ed OR, Graduate in Any Stream with 50% Marks ( For SC, ST, OBC & PH candidates 45%) +  B.Ed/Elementary Education in Diploma / B.L.Ed / B.Ed ( Special Education) OR, H.S Pass with 50% Marks + 4 Years B.El.Ed. 
• Class IX-X: Graduate/ Honours Graduate/ Post Graduate degree with 50% Marks ( For SC, ST, OBC & PH Candidates 45%)  + B.Ed Course Pass. Or, Post Graduate Degree with 50% Marks ( Those who do not have 50% marks in pass or honors in graduation)  + B.Ed 
• Class XI-XII: Post Graduate Degree with 50% Marks ( For SC,ST, OBC & PH candidates 45%) + B.Ed Course.

• Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 40 years as of 1st Jan 2022. The upper age level is however relaxable as per govt norms SC/ST, OBC, and physical handicapped candidates.

How to apply ONLINE Form of SLST 2022

• To apply SLST 2022 application form from the official website of the board.
• Fill in personal information like Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Qualifications, Phone number; Address, etc.
• Upload the scanned photograph and signature.
• At the time of the filing form, you will make sure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria required to apply for the particular category.
• Read other instructions appropriately so that no problem occurs in the further process.
• Any request for the correction in form should be made before the final date or else the request will not be entertained by the authority.
• Applicants should keep the hard copy of the application form with themselves for further use.

Finally, this notification can be called a relief to the job seekers because they have been waiting for a long time for this notice to come. The notice finally came out today.

Teachers will be appointed in the case of secondary, higher secondary level i.e. class nine, class ten, class eleven, class twelve. On the other hand, head teachers will be appointed at the secondary and higher secondary levels.

This time some important changes are being made in the recruitment rules for the recruitment of head teachers. One of these changes is a seat-based reservation. That is to say, there is a preservation policy for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, OBCs, and especially able candidates. According to that rule, there will be seat-based reservations.
