About the Karmai Dharma scheme

West Bengal Karmai Dharma Scheme was launched keeping in mind all the youth’s difficulties in today’s world. The Chief Minister of West Bengal state Mamata Banerjee announced this scheme as a part of the election campaign. The scheme will ensure a healthy environment for the small-scale businesses that the people of this area are establishing due to significant unemployment statistics.

Key features of the scheme

The scheme focuses on making the youth of the state self-sufficient
Under the Karmai Dharma scheme, two lakh youth of the state will receive One Motorbike each for carrying out small businesses.
This scheme is willing to provide a source of livelihood for the people of the state with motorcycles.
The Motorbikes will be provided with assistance from cooperative banks.
All the motorcycles offered by the scheme will come up with boxes to carry saleable items.
The scheme has the aim of increasing small businesses in the state of West Bengal.
The bikes will be equipped with boxes on the back of the bikes for carrying items to be sold.

Aim of the Karmai Dharma scheme

The main aim of this scheme is to ensure employment opportunities for two lakh unemployed youth of the West Bengal state. We all are acquainted with the circumstances that are above our heads in the present time. It is also pronounced that the unemployment statistics in West Bengal state are decreasing day by day.

It is all due to the trend of self-employment that is really occurring nowadays. As we can see, the unemployment rate in West Bengal state has dwindled to 40% as of now. But with the announcement of this new scheme, so many other schemes have also been announced by the Chief Minister of the West Bengal State in order to assist the unemployed people of this state.

Benefits of the “Karmai Dharma (কর্মই ধর্ম)” scheme

The main benefit which will provide through the implementation of the West Bengal Karmai Dharma is the self-employment nature of the scheme.
“Karmai Dharma” scheme under which around 2 lakh youths will be provided with one motorbike each with assistance from cooperative banks.
It was also told that there will be boxes on the back of the bike to carry items sold.
Financial assistance under this scheme will be provided by cooperative banks.
The youth will be able to sell sarees, clothes, or any other article.
