Vishwakarma Scheme 2023
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently announced the Vishwakarma Yojana in his Independence Day speech. Through this, PM has opened the door for a new initiative aimed at improving the livelihood prospects of traditional artisans and craftspeople. The Union Cabinet quickly approved the plan after this announcement, demonstrating its dedication to fostering and maintaining traditional trades.

Objectives of the Vishwakarma Scheme
The program’s main objective is to expand the market for and raise the calibre of the products and services provided by artisans and craftspeople, as well as to integrate them into both domestic and global value chains.
- Loans up to Rs. 1,00,000/- will be provided at 5% Interest Rate in 1st Phase.
- Loans up to Rs. 2,00,000/- will be provided at 5% Interest Rate in 2nd Phase.
- Skill Training will also Provided.
- A stipend of Rs. 500/- per Day will be provided during the Training Period.
- Rs. 15,000/- will be provided to Purchase Advance Tools.
- PM Vishwakarma Certificate and Identity Card will also provided.
Eligibility Criteria for Applying the Scheme
- The applicant should be an Indian Resident.
- The applicant should be an Artisan or Craftspeople / Craftsmen.
How to Apply for PM Vishwakarma Scheme 2023?
- When introducing the 2023–2024 budget, Smt. Nirmala Sitaraman, minister of finance, announced this program.
- The PM Vishwakarma Yojana, also known as PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana, was approved for implementation by the Central Cabinet on August 16, 2023.
- On September 17, 2023, the day of Vishwakarma Jayanti, the PM Vishwakarma Yojana will now be implemented throughout all of India.
- Therefore, the PM Vishwakarma Yojana currently lacks proper instructions and an application process.
- We will update the PM Vishwakarma Kausal Samman Yojana application process as soon as it is made available by the Indian government.

- Employment Opportunities – The PM Vishwakarma Scheme stimulates the development of employment opportunities. It aims to promote economic stability and growth by creating jobs for about 15,000 people each year.
- Online Application Process – Applying online makes it simple for prospective beneficiaries to join the program. This approach is user-friendly, which streamlines the application process and guarantees that deserving candidates can quickly take advantage of the program’s benefits.
- Full Cost Coverage -Under the Vishwakarma Scheme, it is the state government’s responsibility to pay for all associated costs for various training programs. This guarantees that artisans can receive top-notch training without having to worry about paying for it.
