The Bihar Agricultural Input Subsidy Scheme will be administered in accordance with the guidelines for assistance established by the Government of India under the local and national calamities. Farmers who have experienced crop damage from floods or excessive rainfall are eligible to receive Rs. 6,800 per hectare for rainfed (unirrigated) crop area, Rs. 13,500 per hectare for the irrigated area, and Rs. 12,200 per hectare for cultivable land where sand/silt deposition is greater than 3 inches.

The objective of the Agriculture Input Subsidy Scheme

Many people in the state work in agriculture, and their crops suffer massive losses as a result of natural disasters. As a result, a large number of farmers commit suicide. In response to these issues, the state government has launched the Agricultural Input Grant Scheme 2023.

The government will compensate farmers for crop damage caused by rain, storm, and hailstorm up to Rs 13,500 per hectare under this scheme. A grant will be provided. The Bihar government will compensate farmers for losses caused by natural calamities through the Krishi Input Subsidy Scheme.

Benefits of the Bihar Agriculture Input Grant Scheme

This scheme provides a grant of Rs 6800 per hectare for crops grown in non-irrigated areas and Rs 13500 per hectare for crops grown in irrigated areas.
Subsidies of Rs 12,200 per hectare will be provided for cultivable land with a concentration of sand/silt greater than 3 inches.
A farmer can only receive a grant for up to two hectares.
The Bihar Agricultural Input Grant Scheme 2023 will provide affected farmers with a minimum grant of Rs 1000.
The amount of subsidy is given through DBT under the Bihar Krishi Input Subsidy Scheme. Therefore, money will be sent to your account only via an Aadhaar card.

Apply for the Bihar Krishi Input Subsidy Yojana 2023

Farmers in the state who want to apply for the Bihar Krishi Input Subsidy Scheme should follow the steps outlined below.

The applicant must go to the official website of the Agriculture Department, Government of Bihar.
You can apply online, and select the Agricultural Input Grant option from this list.
Fill in the farmer registration number, and click the search button.
Read all the instructions before proceeding. After you click the search button, the application form will appear.
Fill out all of the information requested on this application form, including your name, age, address, Aadhaar number, panchayat, farmer category, DOB, and father’s name.
Farmers should fill out the second part of the form with land information such as area of land (maximum 2 hectares in decimal), type of farmer, and reason for crop loss.
Next, fill out the details of cultivable land in the third section of the form.
After that, they must complete the declaration section and click the “OTP” button.
An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP in the application form.
Then, select the self-declaration form and upload all required documents.
Look carefully before the final submission.
Submit your application form, and you will get a Registration Number – keep it safe.

Within 48 hours of submitting the application, you can make changes to the details. After that, no corrections will be possible, and the application with the incorrect information will be forwarded. This will eventually result in the application being rejected.
