Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana

The Government of India has established Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) training centres in every state and city across the country. It will give free training to unemployed youths to get work. For the next five years, the central government will organise entrepreneurship education and training programmes for youth.

How Does Kaushal Vikas Scheme Works?

• The government has partnered with many telecom companies to connect the country’s youth through this scheme. These mobile companies are in charge of making this scheme available to everyone through text messages.
• Under this scheme, mobile companies will provide a free troll number by messaging the scheme’s participants, on which the candidate must make a missed call.
• After leaving a missed call, you will receive a call from a number and be connected to the IVR service. Following that, the candidate must send his/her information in accordance with the instructions.
• Your information will be kept secure in the Kaushal Vikas Yojana system. After receiving this information, the applicant will be connected to a training centre near his home.

Benefits of PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana

Apply for the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 2022

Interested citizens of the country who want to apply for the PM Skill Development Scheme 2022 should follow the steps outlined below.

• The applicants need to visit the official website.
• Click on the “Quick Link” and select “Skill India” from the menu.
• After that, you can see the option to “Register as a Candidate”, click on it.
• The registration form will appear, and fill out all of the information requested such as Basic Details, Second Location Details, Third Training Sector Preferences, Fourth Associated Program, and Fifth Interested In, among others.

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0

The third phase of the PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana will begin. This will cover all 600 districts in the country. A target of 8 lakh people will be trained under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0. Which will cost Rs 948.90 crore. Training in new generation and Covid will also be provided under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0. The Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0 has linked over 200 industrial training institutes. PMKVY 3.0 has been enhanced by the knowledge gained from PMKVY 1.0 and PMKVY 2.0.

Beneficiaries under PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0

Training Target of the 3.0 Version

• The third phase of this scheme will provide short-term training to approximately 220000 citizens.
• RPL training will be provided to 580000 citizens.

Administrative Structure of the Scheme 3.0

• This scheme will establish a steering committee. Through which the scheme’s guidelines will be developed.
• Under the PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0, an executive committee will also be formed to oversee the scheme’s implementation.
• The Secretary of MSDE will chair the Steering Committee, and the Additional or Joint Secretary of MSDE will chair the Executive Committee.

Components of the Yojana 3.0

• Short-Term Training – This scheme will provide short-term training lasting 200 to 600 hours, or 2 to 6 months. This training is open to all unemployed citizens. All citizens who successfully complete this training will also be placed.
• Recognition of Prior Learning – RPL training will last anywhere from 12 to 80 hours. The youth will receive business-related training through this scheme. This training is open to all citizens with business experience.
• Special Project – This component is for projects that necessitate some deviation from the scheme’s terms and conditions due to special needs in terms of geography, demographics, and social group. Training is provided in specific areas or premises of government institutions, corporate or industry bodies under the special project component.

• The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is in charge of the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana.

• This scheme offers 150-300 hours of short-term training. Special projects and RPL training are also available.
