Objectives of the Scholarship Scheme

The primary goal of the Jharkhand Chief Minister, Hemant Soren ji,’s Chief Minister Merit Scholarship Scheme is to give financial aid of Rs. 12,000 annually to deserving students in the state so they can pursue higher education. Through this scheme, 5,000 students will be chosen, and 400 of those students will be chosen from the Preeti Ek district based on a competitive examination. These 400 students will then receive scholarships from the state government for four years, from class 9th to class 12th. As a result, the youngsters will benefit and get inspiration to continue their studies.

Selection Procedure for Chief Minister Merit Scholarship Scheme

The scholarship test administered by the Jharkhand Academic Council, Jack Board, will be conducted in two sections under this Scholarship Scheme.
Each segment of the exam will be 90 minutes long.
The first component will consist of an intellectual ability test. There will be 90 questions of reasoning, English, and Hindi questions.
There will be an educational qualifying test in the second section. There will be 30-30 questions from Science, Social Science, and Mathematics. This exam will have 90 questions as well.
Students will have one and a half hours to complete both sections of the exam.
The level of scholarship test will be based on the 7th and 8th grade curriculum.
Students must receive at least 40-40% grades in both portions and a total of 60% to be eligible for the scholarship.
SC/ST female students must achieve a minimum of 35% in each section.
Following the examination, a total of 5,000 students will be selected for state-level scholarships rather than district and block-level scholarships.

First Time 3889 Students Selected for Scholarship Scheme
