A new initiative under the name of Mahila Samarthya Yojana will begin in the year 2021–2022.

Purpose of UP Mahila Samarthya Yojana

The primary goal of the UP Mahila Samarthya Yojana 2023 is the welfare and empowerment of women. Women will be encouraged to work under this program. Women’s businesses will benefit from this scheme. Women will receive various sorts of training under this scheme to better their industry and their way of living. This initiative will empower women in the state while simultaneously developing the industrial sector.

Benefits & Features of Women Empowerment Scheme in UP

The Government of Uttar Pradesh established the Mahila Samanya Yojana to empower and benefit women.

The Uttar Pradesh government announced the budget and inaugurated the Mahila Samanya Yojana on February 22.
The government has set aside Rs 100 crore for the implementation of this scheme.

Implementation of Women Empowerment Scheme in Uttar Pradesh

In the first stage of this plan, 200 development blocks will be used to build women’s common facility centers. These centers will offer services including technical research and development, general production and processing, training, packing, leveling, and barcoding. The government will cover each facility’s costs to the tune of 90%.

The UP Mahila Samanya Yojana would result in the formation of a two-level committee at both the state and district levels. The State Level Steering Committee will collaborate with the District Level Committee to promote employment for women in the state. The District Level Committee will be established under the direction of the District Magistrate. Each district’s committee will determine and provide direction to organizations and groups of women who qualify.

The UP Mahila Samarthya Yojana 2023 would arrange general awareness campaigns, counseling programs, exposure campaigns, seminars, workshops, and training programs to support the state’s women.
