West Bengal Student Internship Scheme 2023

West Bengal’s government has introduced the Student Internship Scheme. Internships in government departments would be made available to West Bengal students through this plan. This program went live on January 31, 2022. All students who receive an internship through this plan will get Rs 5000 per month.

The government will pay benefits to 6000 interns who have completed their undergraduate education. This initiative will be in place for one year. Interns will work at government offices located in district subdivisions and blocks. Students will be posted closer to their homes. This internship will be reviewed after it has been completed successfully.

Purpose of the WB Student Internship Yojana

The major goal of the WB Student Internship Scheme is to offer students internships so that they can learn how government departments work. This program will also assist students in finding employment. After completion of this training, the applicant will get an internship certificate, rating, and grading. The government would also offer the interns Rs 5000 per month to assist them financially.

Under the initiative, the government would grant internships to 6000 students each year. Students who perform well will be eligible to continue their education. Every year, 6000 interns will work in government agencies to understand how the government works. Officials are also working with the education department to manage this initiative.

The chosen applicants will work in positions in the State Government and even government enterprises. Students will receive a ranking and grading after successfully completing the internship certificate. This internship will help with your academics and job search.

Benefits of the West Bengal Student Internship Scheme

The West Bengal Government has launched the student internship scheme. West Bengali students will receive internships in government agencies under this program. As of January 31, 2022, this program is live, and here are some of the benefits you need to know.

Every student who secures an internship under this program will get a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000.
After completing their undergraduate studies, 6000 interns will get perks from the government.
This plan will be in effect for a full year.
The interns will be stationed at district subdivisions and block-level government offices.
Students will post in the vicinity of where they live.
Following the internship’s successful conclusion, a review will take place.
Under this program, all citizens under 40 years old are eligible to apply.
If they have earned at least 60% in their polytechnic, ITI, or comparable courses, students who have finished those courses may also apply under this program.
To teach them social work, the interns will have opportunities to interact with a variety of state projects and government initiatives.
Students who demonstrate strong performance will all be granted the opportunity to advance.
Candidates who would like to apply for the program may do so online.
The chief secretary will chair the selection board, which will review the application.

Eligibility Criteria for Applying the Scheme

The candidate needs to live in West Bengal permanently.
The applicant’s age cannot exceed forty years old.
The candidate must hold an undergraduate degree with at least 60% of the required credits.
ITI, polytechnic, or comparable course students will also be covered.
