The applicant should meet the following eligibility criteria to get the stated rewards under the scheme.

Pre-matric scholarship for SC students Eligibility

A member of the SC category who is enrolled in classes 9 and 10 is required.
An annual income of INR 2 lakh from all sources should be the maximum for the family or guardians.

Scholarship Reward

For Day Scholar: INR 150 per month for 10 months + Adhoc grant of INR 750 per annum
For Hosteller: INR 750 per month for 10 months + Adhoc grant of INR 1,000 per annum.

Eligibility Criteria for Pre-matric scholarship for ST students

A student needs to fall under the ST group.
Pupils in grades 9 and 10 are qualified to apply.
The total annual income of the family or guardian should not exceed INR 2 Lakh.

Scholarship Reward

For Day Scholar: INR 150 per month for 10 months + Adhoc grant of INR 750 per annum
For Hosteller: INR 750 per month for 10 months + Adhoc grant of INR 1,000 per annum.

Post-matric scholarship for SC/ST students Eligibility

You should be a member of the SC/ST category and enrolled in post-secondary or post-matriculation courses.
The combined annual income of the parent or guardian should not exceed INR 2.5 lakh.

How to Apply for the West Bengal Oasis Scholarship?

Visit the official website, and select the “students registration” on the homepage.

A new page will appear where you need to choose the “district” of your institution.
Then, a form will open – fill it up with all the information asked for.
Next, verify your caste certificate and click on “submit” option.
And, the registration information will appear on the screen.
Now, log in to the portal with the credentials and click on the “Apply” option.
The application form will appear, fill it up and attach all the required documents.
Then, submit it to the concerned Block Development Officer (BDO) for block area or PO cum DWO for municipality corporation.

Procedure to Renew the Oasis Scholarship?

Visit the official site and select the “Renew Scholarship” option on the homepage.

Then log in to your ID, and verify previously entered details.
Make changes if needed, and click on the “Renew Application” option.
Enter the current academic session’s details.
Next, select the “Renew and Lock Application” option.
Send it to the relevant PO cum DWO for municipality corporation or Block Development Officer (BDO) for block area, together with all supporting documentation.
