Namo Shetkari Maha Sanman Nidhi Yojana 2023

At the March 9 budget presentation, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced the commencement of the Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana 2023 for the state’s farmers. Inspired by the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, this scheme is being launched.

Eligible farmers will receive an annual financial assistance of Rs 6000 through the Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Nidhi Yojana. The farmers will receive this financial assistance in three equal installments. The beneficiary’s bank account will receive the full amount of this financial aid.

The Central Government’s Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme and the Maharashtra government’s Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme will now provide farmers with annual financial assistance of Rs 12,000 and Rs 6000, respectively, for farming.

The government will use Rs 6900 crore to carry out this program. The Namo Shetkari Maha Sanman Nidhi Yojana will benefit 1.5 crore farmer families in the state. as a result of which farmers’ income will rise. Additionally, their quality of life will rise.

10th October Update

On October 10, 2023, the Maharashtra Cabinet met and made a significant decision regarding the Namo Shetkari Mahasamman Nidhi Scheme. In the cabinet meeting, the Namo Shetkari Yojana’s first installment was approved. The farmers’ bank accounts will soon receive the first installment of Rs 2,000. As a result, farmers will now begin receiving money in their bank accounts in the first week.

The Maharashtra government has approved a fund of Rs 1,720 crore to enable eligible farmers to benefit from this scheme. Because of this, the state’s farmers will receive Rs 6000 annually under this scheme. This implies that the farmer will receive annual assistance from the Central and State governments totaling Rs. 12, 000.

26th October Update

On October 26, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the state of Maharashtra, where he will present lakhs of farmers with a development project valued at Rs 7500 crore. Therefore the ground will be broken for numerous development projects in the areas of health, rail, roads, and oil.

The Prime Minister will also unveil the first installment of the Maharashtra State Government’s Namo Shetkari Yojana during this period. It is expected to benefit over 86 lakh farmers.

Objectives of the Namo Shetkari Maha Sanman Nidhi Scheme

The primary goal of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Nidhi Yojana is to give the state’s farmers financial support amounting to Rs 6,000 annually.
