West Bengal Farmer Old Age Pension Scheme

Subordinate to the Jai Bangla Scheme, which serves as the overarching scheme for all pension schemes in West Bengal, is the West Bengal Farmer Old Age Pension Scheme. All qualified West Bengal farmers would get a monthly pension of Rs. 1,000 from the government. The farmers need to fulfil some qualifying criteria to be eligible for the scheme. Eligibility Criteria for Applying the Scheme

The West Bengal government has set the following eligibility requirements for the Scheme.

The applicant should be a permanent resident of West Bengal or have lived here for the past 10 years.
The applicant must be a farmer with no more than two acres of land.
The farmer’s age should be
- 60 years for Unreserved Farmer.
- 55 years for Disabled Farmer.
The applicant must not be a member of any other pension scheme.

After initial verification, the District Magistrate will provide final approval.
