West Bengal Jai Johar Pension Scheme

This Scheme is also known as the “West Bengal Old Age Pension Scheme for Schedule Tribe People”, the “West Bengal Schedule Tribe Pension Scheme” or the “West Bengal Jai Johar Scheme.” All qualified ST recipients would receive a monthly pension of Rs. 1,000/- under the Jai Johar Scheme. The beneficiary’s age must be 60 or older, and the beneficiary must be a member of a Schedule Tribe.

Eligibility Criteria for Applying the Scheme

The West Bengal government has set the following eligibility requirements for the Scheme.

  • The applicant must be a West Bengal permanent resident.

  • The applicant must be at least 60 years old.
  • The applicant is not eligible to receive benefits from any other social security pension plan.

  • After initial verification, the District Magistrate will provide final approval.
  • Then only the beneficiaries will get the financial assistance.
