West Bengal Taposili Bandhu Scheme

Taposili Bandhu Scheme is also known as the “West Bengal Old Age Pension Scheme for Schedule Caste People” or “West Bengal Schedule Caste Pension Scheme”. All qualified beneficiaries would get a monthly pension of Rs. 1,000/- under the Scheme. The beneficiary must be 60 years of age or older and belong to the Schedule Caste Category.

West Bengal Taposili Bandhu Scheme is a sub-scheme of the Jai Bangla Scheme, an umbrella scheme for all West Bengal pension schemes. Eligible beneficiaries can receive a monthly pension under the Scheme by completing an Application Form.

Eligibility Criteria for Applying the Scheme

The West Bengal government has set the following eligibility requirements for the Scheme.

  • The applicant must be a West Bengal permanent resident.
  • The applicant should belong to the Schedule Caste Group.
  • The applicant must be at least 60 years old.
  • The applicant is not eligible to receive benefits from any other pension plan.

    • Block Development Officer Office.
    • Sub Divisional Officer Office.
    • Kolkata Municipal Commissioner Office.
  • Fill up the application form, and attach the required documents.

  • The officials will check your application and the documents.
  • After initial verification, the District Magistrate will provide final approval.
  • Then only the beneficiaries will get the financial assistance.
