West Bengal Akanksha Housing Scheme

Every government employee wishes to own their own home, but owing to a poor wage, this goal cannot be realized. To satisfy the ideal of government employees owning their own homes, the West Bengal government developed the West Bengal Akanksha Scheme.

Introduced on February 28, 2014, the Scheme’s primary goal is to provide permanent housing for state government employees. The government supplied constructed flats to government employees at nominal prices.

There will be 576 flats built in total, as well as 236 covered and 35 open parking spaces. The beneficiary must pay an application fee of Rs 25000/- for filling out the application form. The West Bengal Akanksha Scheme initially included the following.

The project area consists of 5.0599 acres of land and 13 towers.
It consists of 7G+10 Towers for Elegant, Premium, and Classic Categories, and 6 straight 4 Towers for Economy and Standard Categories.

Purpose of the Scheme

The primary goal of this initiative is to supply flats to current West Bengal government employees. Everyone dreams of owning their own home, but due to the exorbitant cost of property, many are unable to do so. Eligibility Criteria for Applying the Akanksha Housing Scheme

You must review all the qualifying requirements of the scheme before applying.

Only the permanent citizens of West Bengal are eligible.
Any state government employee who works for the government may apply.
Ascertain that neither you nor your family members own any real estate.
The applicant cannot receive benefits from any other housing yojana.

After that, you must click the link to submit an online application.

Next, you must make a demand draft in the Department’s favour and submit the application fee.
Then, the received application will be reviewed by the appropriate personnel of the Housing Department in West Bengal.
After verification, the applicant will be chosen by lottery.
The designated beneficiary will receive an allotment letter.
Those applicants who want car parking space must hold a separate lottery, and separate pricing will be determined for the car parking.
